Joan Logan Smith is a respected AQHA Director, professional horsewoman, stallion owner, and business owner with a lifelong commitment to the advancement of the American Quarter Horse industry. As the founder of Super Sires, Joan launched the program with a vision to reinvest in the industry by creating meaningful opportunities for breeders, stallion owners, and Non-Pro riders alike.
Appointed as an AQHA Director in 2011, she serves on the association’s esteemed Stud Book & Registration Committee, helping to uphold the integrity of the breed. Joan also works closely with executive leadership across multiple associations—including the AQHA Executive Committee—to support innovation, health, and sustainability throughout the industry.
She operates a successful breeding program and continues to be a passionate advocate for responsible stallion promotion, long-term growth, and the people who make this industry thrive. Joan’s leadership remains at the heart of Super Sires and its mission to serve with purpose and professionalism.
