Good Better Best

2014 AQHA Brown Stallion

ACTIVE SUPER SIRE

Good Better Best is an ACTIVE Super Sire. Good Better Best or "Mag" as his friends know him, is the crowning jewel of Running Stag Farm. This AQHA stallion which Leslie Anne Bacon co-owns with Nancy Sue Ryan, is by the late, Good I Will Be, and out of Luke Whoo, Good Better Best, fondly known to his fans as “Mag,” exhibits the size, substance, and stature that is the breed standard in the Hunter Under Saddle arena today. Launching onto the scene with a Congress Championship in 3-Year-Old Non-Pro Hunter Under Saddle and a Reserve Congress Championship in Open 3-Year-Old Hunter Under Saddle, Mag’s smooth movement, calm demeanor, and stunning looks captured the eyes of the judges and the heart of the crowd during his debut at the 2017 All American Quarter Horse Congress.  Mag was groomed for a future as a breeding stallion from the very beginning. Already showing promise with a number of foals on the ground, Mag’s offspring have inherited his size, strength, coloring, and conformation. Running Stag Farms is confident that this new sire’s impeccable pedigree, elegant lines, and tremendous ring presence are just a few of the attributes he will pass along to the next generation, effectively changing the landscape of the Hunter Under Saddle discipline for generations to come. His awards include 2017 Congress Champion 3yr old Non-Pro HUS, 2017 Reserve Congress Champion 3yr old Open HUS, ROM HUS and he has sired multiple champions as his progeny take their owners to the winner's circle.

See the Dedication!

“Our entity is not a personal gain entity. We are a horseman-based program that is dedicated to horsemen. At the
end of the day, everyone involved in running this program are giving, both financially and time-wise, to make this possible.”

Stephen Stephens, Dry River Ranch

“We have been careful and methodical in building a good program that has consistently given back to the breeders and owners. We believe the Super Sires program will help to promote the growth of our industry.”

Joan Schroeder, AQHA Director
