Hot N Blazing

overview

Hot N Blazing (1997–2019), affectionately known as “Blaze,” was one of the most influential Hunter Under Saddle stallions in AQHA history, leaving an extraordinary legacy as both a champion performer and a leading sire. By the legendary Blazing Hot and out of Zippos Baby Jane, Blaze established himself in the show pen as an AQHA World Champion in Junior Hunter Under Saddle, AQHA Reserve World Champion in Junior Western Riding, three-time Congress Champion, and two-time Reserve Congress Champion. His exceptional accomplishments earned him a place in the NSBA Hall of Fame in 2021, recognizing his lasting contributions to the pleasure horse industry.

His greatest influence, however, came through his offspring. A leading Hunter Under Saddle sire, Hot N Blazing produced more than $1.4 million in offspring earnings and over 43,000 AQHA points, with 107 Congress and Reserve Congress Champions and numerous AQHA World and Reserve World Champions to his credit. His remarkable offspring include Look N Hott, The Heat Seeker, One Hot Kat, Cowboys R Hot, and Like A Boss, among many others. Although Blaze passed away in 2019, his influence continues through generations of accomplished performers, producing mares, and breeding stallions. His legacy remains firmly established among the great sires of the Hunter Under Saddle industry.
